Production
The problem
While fertile soil is in short supply in many places, a lot of fertile soil is also being sealed. Often there are also unused spaces that could possibly still be used - such as an unused atrium in our case.
The solution we used
To give the sun-drenched atrium a function, it will be converted into a school farm where various edible plants will be planted to make something of the unused sealed ground.
Implementation
Three raised beds were set up in the courtyard to plant a wide variety of vegetables, fruit and herbs together with the pupils. The pupils also learn more about food production.
