The problem
Through the implementation of the "Open Day" activity, our goal was to communicate to the public the ethos of our school, emphasizing our commitment to guiding students in the use of local and seasonal food to support farm production.
The solution we used
We organized an "Open Day" at our secondary school, aligning with the theme: local, seasonal, and fresh from the farm. This event, traditionally held for primary school pupils, focused entirely on showcasing the possibilities of utilizing local farm products.
Implementation
For this particular "Open Day," we collaborated with two local farms known for producing a variety of products suitable for creating treats for event attendees.
Various stations were set up where prospective students, their parents, teachers, and the general public could sample dishes prepared by our students from fresh farm produce. Throughout the event, participants also gained insights into our environmental projects centered around the use of local and seasonal food.
