The problem
The importance of contact with nature is often overlooked in learning. However, nature-based lessons can sustainably enhance pupils' motivation, interest and concentration.
The solution we used
Our garden was planned and practically realised as part of a project by the 3rd and 4th classes at Randegg secondary school.
Implementation
The pupils had a lot of fun realising the projects. The young people showed great commitment in realising their own ideas. The transformation of theoretical lessons into practical work gave them the strength of will and the power of realisation, as well as motivation, creativity and increased self-esteem. The Randegg residents were both enthusiastic and proud of the garden that was created in a very short time (just four days). As a result, a newspaper article was published in the local newspaper.
