The problem

In the secondary school on Kurt-Schumacher-Allee (KSA), the student café "Cool -bio!" is being built. It is run by the students themselves and offers healthy snacks made from organic and local ingredients.

The solution we used

The idea behind "Cool-bio!" goes beyond just enjoying snacks. The aim is to raise students' awareness of sustainable nutrition. At a time when many of us are becoming more and more conscious about our diet, this café is sending a strong signal. Not only does it provide healthy options, but it also strengthens students' sense of community.

Implementation

An important aspect of "Cool-bio!" is the active participation of the students. They are not only responsible for preparing and selling the food, but also for tasks such as washing dishes, cleaning, and tidying up. In the process, they learn important hygiene regulations and organizational skills.

"Cool-bio!" attaches great importance to the quality and origin of the food. All dishes are made from organic food, which comes from the region as far as possible and is fair trade. The packaging is as plastic-free as possible. The goal is to offer home-made snacks and drinks at a student-friendly price. The café "Cool-bio!" is not just a place to eat, but a place where students take responsibility, develop skills and create awareness about sustainable nutrition.
