A day dedicated to food waste prevention

Go! Lyceum Gent is a very big school with no offer at all when it comes to food. They wanted to raise awareness on food waste.

This is why they organised a day dedicated to this topic. The students prepared breakfast with leftovers during their food class, visited an organisation that deals with food waste (Let’s save food) and they had a workshop with Foodwin where they learned a lot about food waste.

The students could also brainstorm on what was important for them when it comes to healthy and sustainable food. Their ideas were communicated to the school board. An inspiring day that they will do again next year.
